Malware is stealing the Face IDs of iPhone users.
In smartphone security, many people use complex passwords to protect themselves from password hacking. Some others use fingerprint and facial recognition technology to safeguard against password breaches. However, this time, a malware named 'Gold Digger' is stealing various information including Face IDs of iPhone users. Cybersecurity firm 'Group-IB' researchers have discovered this banking Trojan malware.
According to the researchers at 'Group-IB', iPhone users residing in various countries across Asia-Pacific are being targeted by the 'Gold Digger' malware. Once the malware infiltrates the device, it collects crucial information including Face IDs of users, and sends them to cybercriminals remotely. Apple has been informed of this matter, and they have begun working to keep their users safe.
