Opinions of members can be taken.
Members of the channel will not be able to comment on any post of the channel, but they can react if they want.
In the updated version of the WhatsApp Android and iOS apps, a tab named Updates has been added. Clicking on this tab will display links to the channels of various popular individuals or organizations available on WhatsApp. Clicking on the link will allow users to become subscribers to their favorite channels.
WhatsApp has informed that the phone numbers of the users will be kept confidential for the safety of the channel users. As a result, neither the channel creators nor the members will be able to know each other's phone numbers. Even the familiarity of the channel members will not be visible to the channel creators. Messages or images on the channel will not be sent in encrypted form, but they will be automatically deleted after 30 days.
WhatsApp has started working with various popular organizations and celebrities to make the Channels feature popular. In this process, celebrities and athletes from various countries have started their own channels. Eventually, all users will have the opportunity to create channels. It is believed that this feature will become popular quickly as it provides users with the opportunity to send important information to a large number of people simultaneously.
